Kerry-Edwards was a very good ticket. If we hadn't been at war and if Bushies hadn't cheated and smeared, they would be in the WH now. It was actually a very close race. The smearvets, hurricanes in Florida, phony terrorist alerts, Osama's tape before the election, any of these things could have made the difference. Also be clear, the GOP went after Kerry in the most dishonest but extremist way. They threw truth to the wind and just attacked him with every cliche and moronic lie they could think of. But they knew what they were doing. It was in order to cast doubt. Once the doubt was there they tried to keep Kerry on the defensive. But Kerry won those debates and was in the lead for periods of time. 2006 is what matters now. 2008 nobody knows anything about yet. Nobody even knows who's running.
