Elmatador Re: "Ray Duray" I agree with Raymond on quite alot despite the fact that he has me on "ignore". <g> We both are opposed to globalism, for example. Where is the rift? I think even that has to do with globalism. A generation back Euro-socialist leaning "internationalists" began an all out attack on our traditions, mainly using the courts.
To listen to the US national political discourse all you hear is "gay rights", "abortion", religion, gun control, public education, ect. being discussed. The problem is that none of these type issues, at least according to our Constitution, are national issues. In France or Japan or most other places these things would be national issues, but not in the USA. That was very clever of the internationalists, was it not? The idea was to get ordinary Americans fighting over all these nut case hole and corner issues, which by the Constitution are state or local government matters. And by dividing us this way the average guy (J6P) has been distracted from what is really going on and the real positions of national politicians have been obscured. Very clever of the bas#ards. Our day will come, though.
But back to Brazil: If many years ago your government had not placed high import barriers on imported cars, then PLEASE explain to me why VW would have come there (and to Mexico and other places) and set up a manufacturing plant? VW would have just sent you product from Germany and you would have NEVER developed a Brazilian auto industry. Slagle |
