Thank you for unbanning my good pal Redfish. Here’s our pal Redfish now…

Message 21599263

”Jose Padilla in jail without being charged for three years for allegedly learning how to make a "dirty bomb" off internet websites.

Those internets, they are the real threat ....”

The truth, as usual, has a little different ring to it than what we get from good ole Redfish however:

Jose Padia
Jose was a member of notorious Chicago street gangs in his youth. He is also a convicted murderer. Later in life he joined a new gang and became an al-Qaeda operative. Padilla proposed the idea of building a bomb in the US. He then traveled to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

Padilla got some instruction in bomb-making, and some cash. Al-Qaeda leaders reportedly discussed with him schemes ranging from "dirty bombs" to blowing up gas stations — discussions which some captive terrorist leaders appear to have shared with U.S. agents. So Padilla flew back to Chicago under U.S. surveillance, and into the waiting arms of the FBI.

And we would like to also thank Dave for giving habor to the Redfishes of SI.
