I think GWB is more committed to getting the job done right in Iraq than he is about public opinion. No one in this country even knows what is going on over there.

Who cares if Bush took a vacation? If this country has become so ridiculous that the President can't take a vacation, maybe we need to start seeing more cartoons of the vicious bloggers that spend all day saying nasty things about Bush. It's really funny to see the complete lack of decency people have shown towards the President. Very funny, so funny that it makes my sides hurt when I think how many people think their opinion is worth anything. In reality, just because you have the right of free speech doesn't mean it's worth a damn thing to the next person.

I guess that's my whole point. So many people have dialogues on this thread without ever intending to change their point of view. They think they will change somebody else, but are pretty adament that their position is correct. Nothing is correct or incorrect about an opinion. If we just looked at the fact that we have to defend the Iraqi government from the terrorists, it doesn't make any sense if we are winning or losing the war. We are fulfilling our obligation.

If Mrs. Sheehan's little boy enlisted in the Army, he knew that he would be sent to Iraq to defend the Iraqi government. Bush did not send him to war, the kid volunteered to go to war. Bush doesn't need to apologize for himself to a soldier's mother. I think Bush is completely unfazed about the 10% stuck in the middel. He just needs to wait for the Iraqis to get their house in order. I am 100% confident that our troops will come home.
