A private citizen has every right to the 'quiet enjoyment' of their house.

Bush is NOT a private citizen. Privacy? Rightwingers want to inspect the sexual lives of all Americans AND the wombs of women. Privacy? You guys hate privacy so you can't use it as an argument.

Sheehan does indeed have questions for Bush. She wants to know what is the 'noble' reason we're in Iraq. She wants to know the reason her child died. She wants to know why Bush isn't getting all of the troops out immediately. These are legitimate questions that Bush is too much of a coward to answer in public.

Bush will go to war but he won't explain why he went to war. Bush will joke and giggle and make fun of nonexistent WMDs in the Oval Office (remember that?) but he will not attend a funeral and talk respectfully to a grieving mother.

US Troops in Iraq are not innocent. US Troops are the aggressors in an occupation of a sovereign nation. On top that that US Troops killed and are killing many more innocent muslims than the insurgents or terrorists...more firepower. Do you remember the shock and awe? Do you remember the demolition of Fallujah?

Shites and Kurds are also out shooting, jailing and expelling those who are not them. There's plenty of blame and blood to go around.

Israel and Palestine can play kissy face and that will not end the violence in Iraq. Iraq is about POWER and MONEY and OIL. The conflict there has gone wayyyyyy beyond the Israelis and Palestinians, Bush has seen to that.

What happens if the Shias and the Kurds declare independence from Iraq? Is it true that the Sunnis will bond with Syria, the Shias with Iran and there will be a genuine civil war that will spill out into the neighboring countries? Will Turkey freak out over an independent Kurdistan that already says it will not take military orders from Baghdad?

This is a once in a century opportunity for individuals and organizations to grab oil and power and independence for themselves. It's a very human thing. Would you do anything altogether that different if you were in their shoes?
