You tell me what prez in their right mind would ignore such a memo. themoderntribune.com Actually, the Lewinsky investigation did help Osama Bin Lauden, the pressure Clinton was under distracted him from finding and finishing off Osama. Because the rightwing was on a witch hunt inside CLinton's underwear drawer which had nothing to do with Whitewater. Because of the Starr investigation, Clinton did not have the political capital to risk a bigger effort to kill Osama. But he did fire 300 cruise missiles at him and in one case narrowly missed. At the time, the rightwing critics mocked Clinton for this and criticized him for hitting an "aspirin factory". The rightwing mocking a president trying to kill OBL. Imagine that. What has Bush done to catch Osama since he let him go at Tora Bora? Nothing. In fact after Tora Boras Bush claimed "Osama doesn't concern me anymore". And four years after 9-11 Osama is alive and more powerful than ever. The Bushes and Bin Laudens remain good friends.
