Most Christians are not rightwing Republicans. The rightwing ones are just the most organized and vocal. They are the loud-mouthed minority trying to dictate their extremist views on the rest of us, and trying to make oodles of money in the process. Most christians are common sense people who forgive, are tolerant and are moderate or liberal. There are millions of truly devout Christians who are very liberal.

How do we know this? The Terri Schiavo case exposed thre fact that 50% of evangelicals were against the rightwing Bushie christians protesting outside the hospice. That means the rightwing chritaisn supporting Bush are probably about 15% of the total in the country. And that numbers dropping every day with this dastardly war and all the scandals expolsing Bushies as political criminals. So the 15% most extreme are trying to take ovger the church. Just like the radical Islamics are trying to take over the Muslim religion. But it wont work.

Christianity should have nothing to do with politics. That is the bottom line.
