I was hoping for Sept..............I haven't been walking much lately and am nervous about the altitude...........I am down here near sea level and at 10,000 ft the air is thinner...............huff, puff..............LOL I"ll be up next weekend and will do some walking around to see how my lungs behave. I did a shorter walk a bit lower last year..............9000ft on the trail below the Mt Rose trailhead on the Mt Rose highway)and Iwas OK but I had been walking more. This year I haven't been doing many longer hikes..............in Sept I can be ready. Let me know what you think !! When you live at sea level the altitude can be an issue unless you are accustomed to hiking in thinner Oxygen levels.
