I'll give that some thought karen...You may be right. And just for the record, the folks here on this particular board are more conservative than liberal in thought, so I don't find the comments apply here, by in large. They certainly do on some other boards on SI... For instance, the old FADG board was just an excellent place for sometime to learn something from several points of view...but since Ken is no longer interested in maintaining the credibility there, it is no longer very interesting.
Bill on the other hand, has tried to have many points of view, and we have some well spoken and well read POV on the other side of the fence than I might have, but most are very respectful.
I know you've tried to probe for more sometimes as well. Sometimes, the reasons for not discussing the issue further are all the ones you mentioned, with one more I could offer. And that is time....Sometimes it takes a lot of time to actually put into words ones' thoughts and why. And not many of us have lots of time to do that. I understand that, and especially these days. There aren't nearly enough hours for all I'm trying to accomplish every day, and I'm pretty sure the rest of us are the same.
So, recognizing that is true, maybe on some things, we will have a little more in depth responses from everyone, if they have the time to give them. |
