I'm not even sure who started the hype. I'd be curious to know. One of the perma-outraged, I imagine, but I don't know which one. I hadn't heard of it until I saw the story posted here. I saw nothing about it in my usual haunts--the Post, local TV news, and CNN. It's really sad to see this blown up.
