Here is a good example, at least to me, about a very selfish reason to pray. Neenny prays that her house will sell. I pray that I have one to live in.!!!!!! I am so stupid at times. OK. I had my house insurance due back in the Spring. Long story made short. I paid the first three months. I keep getting notices to pay the balance, and I am thinking I need to pay the balance but surely since I have already paid the first three months they won't cancel me. I get the cancellation notice, I keep thinking . I need to go down there and pay that bill. I had plenty of money in my account. I pick up the final notice yesterday at 4:00 pm ( on a Friday ). See it had been cancelled August 1st....geeezzzz. I run down there, the agency owner was on vacation. The two people in the agency could not help me. I have to wait until Monday ( all weekend ) and they have to start from scratch because I was 12 days late. So here I sit all weekend without house insurance. Some people could slough it off. Not me. I'm up at3:30 this am pming Barry ( AKAFOOBAR ) sending him email. I'm preparing a sunday school lesson for the 11th of Sept. I'm on pins and needles. I'm asking God to forgive me for being so stupid. I'm saying GOD. Stupid is OK right. This was DUMB. ( GOD...DUMB IS PREEXISTING ) I'm really in trouble. I am starting to get these notions that I'll be homeless if something happens to my house this weekend. My next door neighbor is an insurance agent. I'm waiting all evening for him to get home. I guess they are on vacation. So. God. For the record, forgive me for being so stupid. 1. please watch over my house . 2. please help me be a better property owner. 3. please help me remember things. 4. please help me navigate through this thing called life. and God whenever I say, please ....I am really saying PLEASE. I thank You I remembered when I did. There is a hurricane out in the Atlantic coming this way..... In Christ....GREGOR
