How many high performing companies would have boards that would be satisfied if the CEO took off on a 5-week vacation ? And on top of that what if it is was verified that the CEO has spent at least 20% of his time in office "on vacation"...? Could you see Jack Welch who ran GE for many years going out on a 5-week vacation...? Mr. Bush runs the largest and most complex country in the world...We are not paying him to spend a large amount of time on vacation...He's supposed to be solving problems (yet, I think he may be better at creating them).
