Whoa lady...don't get your feelings hurt.

I was merely pointing out that it had been done, after you suggested it hadn't...and I was kind about it.

I do believe there can be a role for the US Military when the time comes to protect our motherland.

There have been some recent examples including:
aircraft surveillance and possible interdiction of unfriendly aircraft,
use of DOD facilities, equipment and personnel for surveillance purposes (within the US and just off-shore) in the war on drugs,
use of NG troops to protect NYC, etc, after 9/11.

And now we know the US Army identified the terrorist threat well before 9/11.

Are you demanding all that be stopped?
