Moominoid Re: "conspiracy" I do believe there is plenty of reasons to believe that Reagan/Bush really did use the "oil weapon" to destroy the USSR, along with a number of other cleverly crafted efforts. I doubt the whole story will ever be known. If you just think about it, that was a pretty fantastic accomplishment. Now could something similar be underway again? It is surely possible. If you watch closely you sometimes catch little glimpses of what might be going on behind the curtain. One of the most interesting in this last war was the mad dash eve of the war emergency trip that President Gloria Arroyo of the Philippines made to visit the Emir of Kuwait.
