Something to think about for those who think the USA is a country blessed by God... ancient Israel is the only nation God ever made a covenant with and made promises to. The success of the USA is largely from having tremendous wealth of natural resources, being populated by an industrious people, and having the natural protection from enemies of two oceans. God has given the Covenant of Jesus Christ to individual Christians and there may be millions of them in the USA as there are millions in every other country on earth and those countries are not rich because of that. America's wealth is not from being a "Christian nation". If that were so then many nations in South America would be wealthy too. God never made a covenant with the USA. That's the legal standing on this issue. Only Israel has promises in their covenant with God. No other nation does.
