Liberal cities are dangerous places to live

Recently the Bay Area Center For Voting Research published a list of America's most liberal cities. When I looked at the list it stuck me that the top five most liberal cities were also the among the most dangerous places to live.

So after a little research here's what I found:

Most Liberal Cities crime ranking city size

1. Detroit, MI- First over 500,000 population
2. Gary, IN- Third 100,000-500,000 population
3. Berkeley, CA- Not in top 25 rankings
4. Washington, D.C.- Second over 500,000 population
5. Oakland, CA- 24th of 354 cities surveyed
