It definitely ends for the Europeans and most of NE Asia (China, Japan and Korea) but we would survive somehow. After all, our imports from the Persian Gulf, including Saudi Arabia are less than 25% of our overall imports. With the ensuing global economic collapse, we could get by. It wouldn't be pretty but it wouldn't quite equal the devastation wrought in Europe and NE Asia.

Not exactly comforting, I admit, but the not quite the end of the world. Or would it be?
