well, one of the things i think a well developed business acumen can be applied to is trading..
being competitive in this arena means having discipline and diligence..
those who trade their own accounts and do so successfully can never be 'outsourced'
for me, that's just one potential avenue
and yes, there are a great many people whom cannot, and ultimately will not, adapt. it is one of several reasons why the outlook for this country is not so favorable presently
that doesn't mean that we as individuals aren't able to put ourselves on a path towards financial security and overall contentment
you complain about a lengthy devotion to IT now that it appears things are going south... what about the manufacturing industry, the auto industry? Flint, Michigan. That sucked. Perhaps even worse, consider the boom and bust diatribe that your typical farmer might share. The suffrage is seemingly unavoidable.
It's all a big, sad story until you begin to accept the cyclical nature of things. A person has to adjust or perish.
You're witnessing the economic version of natural selection. What's different now, at least as it compares to the industrial era, is that the origin of one's competition is no longer limited by geographical proximity.
Today, things transpire on a world stage. Evolution dictates that this is the way it must now be, and it offers no apologies. |
