This obviously came as a true surprise to the Europeans and unfortunately only confirms the skepticism of Bush and his people. I wish and I am sure so does Bush that it had come to a different closure than what now seems imminent. Whatever you have to say about this, none of you should now have a chance to argue, that GW didn't give the European positive thinkers a fair chance to work things out in a reasonable way together with the reasonable and peace loving leaders of Iran. Unfortunately the Iran leaders now believe the have free hands from all Europe to do what they want in the nuclear department and that old Europe in some way may have a moderating effect on the current and in particular upcoming US government and their reactions to same. This will eventually show to be as a serious miscalculation as the Saddam invasion of Kuwait with consequences most likely way over those of that time. Taro
