Newport Petroleum.... For what it's worth, I would think that the activity in NPP is due to two things: 1. Rumours that Anderson is looking them over. 2. Investor's Digest (12SEP97 Edition) has an article, which I only glanced at, suggesting NPP as a buy with an 12-month (?) target of $9.45. P.S. If I'm wrong about the above, don't berate me as I'm mostly a technical trader who likes NPP for purely technical reasons.
