Now if you all used your brains for more than the minute it takes to consider dropping bombs, you would realize that as a population gets more educated, more affluent, more professional, it tends to become more democratic and more secular......its people want a say in the future of their country and they don't want to have to go to church/mosque everyday to do it. And they are less likely to be aggressive and throw nukes around.
I really like to believe you, but when I read articles about how Iran is recruiting 40,000 suicide bombers for their army and I read about how they fund Lebanese and Palestinian terrorist groups, and I read about how they are funding, arming, and supporting the insurgents in Iraq against the wishes of the Iraqis, I have to say that I really don't believe you. Even if I did believe you about the Iranian people, I'd still have to point out all the evidence that proves that Iran's government must be completely different than the people they govern. The Iranian government is nothing short of a terrorist government. For that reason alone, we can't allow them to get nukes under any circumstances.
If the Iranian people truly are the way you say they are (and by the way, I believe their youth are exactly how you say they are), then they are chafing badly under the Iranian government and perhaps they are a little despaired about getting rid of that gov't, since they have had no success getting freedom, even after a revolution against the Shah. |
