if memory serves me he used to work at Chevron and has some experience in the energy field. From what I've read he is also pretty anti nuclear energy so it might help get both sides of the story.

Personally I would rather live simply and use less energy than increase nuclear capacity, but that doesn't appear to be the capitalist way. Their motto seems to be "grow or die".
