Simmons is calling for a several hundred thousand bbl oil shortage this fall. It would have to be quite a severe crash to turn that shortfall into surplus, but anything is possible.

With these crashes, it is always if, not when. Trying to time them this spring - and being out of the market in March to May because some said a meltdown was imminent - really cut returns.

This time, the Fed has really over-tightened but remember they started at 1%. I think it goes a little longer.
