I am entitled to my opinion that his opinions are whacked.

Of course, you are. Nor am I arguing you aren't. I'm simply arguing that if you wish to post your views on a public forum contesting the views of some other poster, it helps conversation to bring some evidence/arguments with you. That's all.

I've read his columns and found errors of logic and of content that should make him blush.

Now, there you go. What errors of logic; which content?

I've heard him on radio and found him to be insecure and spiteful.

Watch him on TV and you'll come to the same conclusion. His personality is not meant for either. Somewhere there is a quote about the disjunction between personality and smarts. Can't recall it right now.

That he has a resume is no consequence.

For you. Are you saying that just because Martin Feldstein is a conservative of long standing, served prominently in the Reagan administration, and has a resume of great length, I should consider that resume of no consequence because I disagree with him on fundamentals. Surely not. Or that I should read only Joseph Stiglitz and Amartya Sen with whom I generally agree. Both of whom are Nobel prize winners? And it goes without saying, have impressive resumes. Surely not.
