You say proven. Can you show me some legitimate documentation........at least from a creditable news outlet?
I have posted numberous articles on these threads as to Iran's terrorist activities. The most recent was one showing their recruitment of 40,000 suicide bombers to outfit their terrorist brigades. In addition, I posted an article from Time that discussed Iran's support and funding of terrorists and insurgents in Iraq. Iran's support of Hizbullah and other terrorist groups in Lebanon and Palestine is a matter of public record and has been written about extensively by most major newspapers.

Rumsfeld: Weapons crossing over border
By From wire reports
Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld flatly declared Tuesday that insurgents in Iraq are receiving weapons from allies in Iran. "Weapons clearly, unambiguously from Iran have been found in Iraq,' Rumsfeld told a Pentagon news conference. He declined to elaborate on whether the weapons are from the Iranian government or from terrorist groups based there.
Rumsfeld's statement was the clearest to date that the Bush administration believes Iranians are aiding the insurgency.
Iraq and Iran share a border approximately 903 miles long. To the west, Iraq shares a 375- mile border with Syria.
Bush administration officials in the past have chided Syria and Iran for not halting the flow of insurgents, illicit funds and weaponry into Iraq.
Caleb Temple, a senior officer at the Defense Intelligence Agency, told Congress last month that former officials in the Saddam Hussein regime are now based in Iran, Syria and elsewhere and have "established financial bases to support the insurgency.'
Last month, Rumsfeld told reporters that the Iraqi government should coordinate with Iran and Syria "to see that foreign terrorists stop coming across those borders and their neighbors do not harbor insurgents.'
Vice Adm. Lowell Jacoby, director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, told a Senate panel in March that Iranian nationals were among the foreign fighters caught in Iraq. "Syrian, Saudi, Egyptian, Jordanian and Iranian nationals make up the majority of foreign fighters,' he said.
Jacoby also said that the Iranian government was directly aiding the insurgency. Iran "will continue support for terrorism, aid insurgents in Iraq and work to remove the U.S. from the Middle East,' he predicted.
But there are countervailing views.
Maj. Gen. Jim Dutton, a British Royal Marine and commander of multinational forces in southeastern Iraq, cautioned last week about pointing the finger at Iran.
"The question of Iranian involvement is always a difficult one, because there's a lot of speculation about it and not many facts,' he told a Pentagon news conference Friday . He said that Iraqi border police confiscated "a big seizure' of weapons in July. "There have been suggestions that they could have come from Iran, but I certainly can't prove that,' he said.
In other developments from the news conference, Air Force Gen. Richard Myers, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the explosion that killed 14 Marines, most of whom were from an Ohio-based r eserve unit, was caused by three land mines patched together.
Myers also said that individuals suspected of planting the land mines and of killing a six-man Marine sniper team are in U.S. custody.
Iraqis near the city of Haditha, in western Iraq along the Euphrates River, turned in the suspects. They "came forward and said, 'These are the folks,' ' Myers said. "And so they're in interrogation right now to determine if in fact they are the folks.'

Just as with Iraq, the Bushies are adamant as to what the 'facts' are about Iran even as their info is anecdotal.
Fool me once, shame on you, Fool me twice, shame on me. These aren't accusations. They are documented facts, most of which are bragged about by Iranian officials in their own press. Whether you believe it or not depends on whether you are willing to be unbiased and open your eyes. Your lack of belief, though, simply uncovers your lack of true knowledge of what is going on in Iran. You need to do more reading on the subject.
Here we go.........Iraq redux. You have no intention of learning from your mistakes, do you? |
