>>>Come'on! Don't be a free loader. You are only hurting the source of your information if you think about it. If everyone did what you did, then all the news sources would go out of business, then you would have no one to get a free ride from? Your attitude hurts the honest business man trying to make a living.<<<

Ray, perhaps you should consider that often these "samples" of your service are a potent form of advertising. If people like what they see, they will probably sub to your service to get the complete one in a timely manner -- most people don't like to wait and rely on others to post info they need/want regarding investing. Take SI for example, anyone can read its content, but to join in the discussion you must become a member...one might argue that you don't need to write, only read to take advantage of it...yet still people find they like it, and they join anyway. You mentioned that I could have a free 2 week trial of your service if I emailed you...that seems worse considering I could use DTOL for two weeks then opt to cancel. The info posted here by one of your subs actually gave me a "trial" of your service.

>>>We don't mind members using our information, certainly that's why we supply it. However, we do ask that users not repost our reports when others are paying for the information. The information is copyrighted. Even SI (when you joined) requested this<<<

Ok, that is a mere technicality. So basically, any sub to your service is not supposed to relay any of your "copywritten" info to non-members. Those copywrite laws apply only to purjured material, and purjury must be determined by certain guidelines. If the material is reworded into the poster's own words, your copywrite no longer applies...it becomes neutral discussion, open to all. Do you intend on your subs keeping a muzzle on their thoughts as well, or are they not even supposed to comment on your service's material? To All: next time, please just summarize and comment on what you have learned without pasting the entire article. That effectively makes any copywrites obsolete, since it is just "chatter".

>>>We keep the membership at Day Traders On-line low so all can afford to join. It's only $19 a month. If you value our research, please contribute by becoming a member. It will ultimately make the information that comes your way better because we can use your membership fees to improve our research, company and staff, etc.<<<

I have only seen a DTOL article twice, ever. No offense, but I don't value your research...however, it turned up on this thread so I'm not going to shut my eyes to its existence. My point was against any filtering of information in any way, not DTOL in particular. As I said above, anyone who wishes to relay your info should just do so in a "conversational" manner. There are literally 1000s of services that mirror your own, so I don't pay them much heed. Anyone here could pay your $19 with the change that falls out of their pockets. So if they want to sub they would do so, regardless of a post from DTOL every month or so.

>>>Hey, I can't keep you from wanting free information, but myself, I pay my own way in life. I hope you will consider this and not encourage people to steal our hard work.<<<

I pay my own way as well...and in trading for a living, information is the most important commodity. There's a difference between free info and freedom of info. I'm not encouraging anyone to steal anything. They are adults and can make their own decisions. Freedom of all information is my point. Of course, if you like what you read and the service providing the info, you should sub to it. You must really get upset by visits to your local library -- look at all those mags and newspapers on the racks! And all those people sitting down and reading the info contained...the sweat and blood that went into them all! Ray, do you think most of these people will regularly come to the library to read all the mags and papers to skip out on the $15 or $20 subs? I doubt it. Most will subscribe to what they liked for matters of convenience and timely information. That's why it isn;t against the law for libraries to publicly display copywritten material -- the publishers are wise enough to realize this. Are you wise?
