Obviously Adobe systems would like to set another industry standard as they did with their postscript "page frame interpreter" and AVID would benefit immensely were they able to incorporate such technology into their editing suites. They question is; would this necessarily involve any of the existing players in this arena or are they attempting to establish a standard of their own?
