The US has some of the best documentation available of any of the industrialized countries that covers the counting of goods produced here. Grace, can you point me to where I can read about how the govt counts offshore engineering in the mix of US manufactured goods? If there is a statement anywhere about how this is done or not done, I mean. A few years ago we got this way out GDP# of 8% at a time when jobs were disappearing here but exploding offshore for our companies. I always thought there was an error in the GDP formula to account for that. But couldn't find any documentation then.
