Acquiring CSi subs is very different equation from gaining 2.6m
AOL subs. The different market segments -- repeatedly emphasized by
AOL -- work against notion of gaining scale of audience for advertisers. It's like financially oriented CNBC vs. mass market NBC.
Each must stand on its own.

In 9/9 WSJ Robert Pittman said that ad/commerce on CSi will be "appropriate for the CompuServe users. For business and professional users, I think there's other stuff they're interested in." [than what's pitched to AOL subs]

And of course, this assumes that CSi subs who pay premium prices in part to avoid pitches will stand for it.
