That's not the game I was referring to, that's why we disagreed. In most casinos, 7 card stud hi-lo requires a "low" hand to consist of 5 cards 8 or lower. So if the has a "king high low" it wouldn't qualify, and the winner of the high hand scoops the pot. I realize the rules differ in home games, so that would change the strategy significantly. That's why we were disagreeing, so I'll let it go at that...
