Here's a gripe in general about the "oil shortage".

What shortage? Americans are buying 1% more gas than last year, albeit at much higher prices. No shortage at the higher prices. Buy all you want.

Now a shortage is like back in the 70s when odd number plates could buy on odd number days and the same with even number plates. Limited to 5-10 gallons at a time. Stations closed until next delivery.

We wonder why the governments aren't trying to lower prices, the answer is taxes. Sales tax on gas and the higher prices on delivered goods plus taxes on the higher profits of companies in the oil and gas business. It's a hidden tax, never went through Congress but it's raising taxes all the same.
