Mr. Bush should spend some time reflecting on the consequences of his actions...Maybe he should read the comments out on some of these blogs too...

<<...if our lives are directly impacted by the consequences of our actions, the chances are much greater that we will have an understanding and appreciation for the complexities and difficulties of the situation. We see this principle in operation every day in the media with celebrities and politicians.

• Nancy Regan makes a 180 degree turn on stem cell research because her life was directly touched by President Reagan's Alzheimer’s.

• Tom Delay pulls the plug on his own father and sues the corporation that made the ball bearings that his family claimed were responsible for his father’s death.

• The Clinton's send their daughter to private school, instead of public.

• William Bennett suddenly doesn't see addictive gambling as a moral defect.

• Rush Limbaugh doesn’t talk about drug addicts going to jail anymore.

• Dick Cheney is unusually liberal on the question of homosexuality.

I am sure that this list could be expanded, ad infinitum. Perhaps it would make a good blog on its own. A reminder of how easy it is for us to make life and death decisions when they don’t affect us or our families personally...>>
