The new release of Churn Prophet, an analytical tool designed to help carriers reduce churn and increase customer retention, offers carriers the ability to analyze the lifetime value of customers and allows for greater extensibility and market localization.
Churn Prophet is a key component of Telesto(TM), Lightbridge's network of integrated customer acquisition and retention solutions. It uses unique data mining and predictive modeling technology to identify characteristics of subscribers who have canceled service in the past and to develop predictions as to which subscribers are likely to cancel service in the future. Lightbridge also provides a complete consulting service with Churn Prophet to rapidly implement an open, strategic infrastructure for a carrier to analyze and manage improved retention activities.

Available in October, Churn Prophet 2.0 includes a new feature that uses the Lifetime Value of customers as the basis for calculating the return on investment of retention programs. This feature helps carriers to target high-value customers with strategic retention campaigns to ensure the highest return on investment.
The new version also includes an open interface to support Churn Prophet's integration with ad hoc query/reporting tools, campaign management tools and other systems to initiate retention programs through access to carriers' customer detail records. This feature allows carriers to seamlessly move from the analysis stage of customer segmentation (determining which customers are likely to churn) to the action stage of targeting specific customers with proactive retention initiatives.
The application architecture for Churn Prophet 2.0 has also been internationalized to support future translation to multiple languages while maintaining a single software base.
Data mining results analysis capabilities have been enhanced with the addition of two utilities to evaluate the strength and accuracy of churn model results. The first loads data from model results (stored in a relational database) into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet for easy browsing and evaluation; the second provides a printable report listing all customer segments and profiles.
