I thought a couple of weeks ago that the whole Cindy Sheehan episode would get a little media time and then be relegated to obscurity. Not so. All the yakking on Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, the blogs...the effort to pump up her activities, and the effort to discredit them. The idiot dove-huntin' farmer discharging his weapon in the early morning hours...the President stuck with one road in, same road out. The crosses.
Hey, agree or disagree with Ms. Sheehan, she wins by being "news' for more than five days. Just wait until the end of the month when we have the dual circus of the President breaking down camp at the ranch to head back to D.C., and Ms. Sheehan breaking down camp to head to....D. C.
The cable channels will eat it up.
Of course, GWB will, in my opinion, not let this happen. Sometimes in the next 14 days he will visit with Ms. Sheehan. Then if she shows up in D.C., he can say: "Hey, I gave the lady what she wanted. I got a war to run now".
