appro HSS and (LRAD, MRAD, and ERAD) are different. The HSS uses ultrasonic and is a monolithic, thin emitter. The others, and I'm speculating about the ERAD which is underdevelopment, use multiple (different style than the HSS) transducers which are coerced into putting out phase coherent and therefore focused, audible sound...very, very loud audible sound.
