Once a gal I was skating with on Lake Champlain had one leg fall through. She got it out and we all skated back to the shoreline.

I even did ice fish too.

we had winter carnivals on the lakes as the ice was several feet thick. My first plane ride took off on the ice in the Winter Carnival.
