Yup. The Kurds show up in Baghdad to say:

- we intend to vote for independence in 8 years or less
- we elect our own 'national' officials anyway
- we jail Turkmen and Arab leaders anyway
- our militia will lick any Iraqi security force plus we refuse to take any orders from anyone in Baghdad
- we'll take the Kirkuk oil fields which is the only reason we show up in Baghdad, to politick for them

Why were the Sunnis so dominant? Did that suddenly change with Saddam gone?

At any rate, Bush's Exxon and Saudi masters are very happy to see the price of oil go through the roof, price elasticity in the US of A practically nothing and the energy tax go straight from the American consumer straight into their pockets.

Whoa Nellie. Them thar were some serious inflation numbers this month. Gee. Anyone still carrying an adjustable rate mortgage on an overinflated house?
