Elroy, the Big Inch Pipeline built in 1943 - 1944 was .

(I believe) built in about a year and ran about 1,500

miles, from Texas to New Jersey. A big factor in the

Allies winning of WWII. I laugh when I compare to the

time requirements to build any pipeline today !
