Hardrocker, You make a good case for the long side of PLSIA for the long term. I'm sorry if my posts sounded pluvian, but I was just passing along info that my dentist gave me which is only one data point. If 50 dentists all say the same thing, then maybe the longs should be worried, but one dentist does not make a trend.

You raised the problem that PLSIA will face in the short term when you said that no dentist in your area has the centauri laser yet. The peak sales cycle for PLSIA will come after they've made their initial penetration into their target markets and dentists without lasers start losing patients to dentists that have lasers. This will drive the laser demand and will be the time when PLSIA could exceed wall street expectations.

The sales phase that PLSIA is in now of trying to establish beachheads in their target markets is usually the toughest part of the sales cycle. Generally, expectations are not met during these early stages, because PLSIA is trying to get dentists to change the way that they are doing business and very few people want to be first. I think that you may be a little early on PLSIA, but it could take off if they get through this stage quickly, so I am neutral on PLSIA until I see how their sales unfold.
