VLO as on oil short? Huh? VLO is purely a refining company. Its only exposure to the price of crude oil is the cost of the raw material. As long as margins remain healthy refiners should do OK. In fact in past times periods of falling crude prices were booms for refiners. The drop in refiners is a seasonal move. They all give up a fair amount in the August doldrums. As long as there is demand for refined products and refiners are running at 93+% capacity and we are importing products there should be profits in the refining business.

Do you see something else?
