- Additional Results Received From High Grade Workings
Mr. Len Harris, President of Consolidated Viscount Resources Ltd. and Guardian Enterprises Ltd. is pleased to announce very favourable assay results from samples taken by an independent consultant from workings at the Las Coloradas concession in Durango, Mexico. The concession covers 12,000 acres and hosts a five (5) kilometre (three mile) long mineralized structure.
The samples were taken from a recently discovered high grade ore shoot within the Piedra Bola underground workings, as well as from surface exposures of the main structure in the "Los Reyes" and "Verdun" areas. The assays were conducted by a recognized, independent laboratory in Vancouver.
Channel sample results; 1. Piedra Bola workings across one (1) metre: - 56.1 gpt (1.63 oz pt.) gold - 199.7 gpt (5.79 oz pt.) silver 2. Los Reyes - surface sample across one (1) metre: - 23.9 gpt (0.69 oz pt.) gold - 115.9 gpt (3.36 oz pt.) silver 3. Verdun - surface sample across one (1) metre: - 5.1 gpt (0.147 oz pt.) gold - 190.3 (5.52 oz pt.) silver 4. Mill concentrate samples averaged: - 27.16 oz pt. gold - 1,459 oz pt. silver - 0.36% lead - 0.32% zinc Assay results from the newly identified Piedra Bola ore shoot include; - 65.7 gpt gold and 5,418 gpt silver across 90 cm - 64.9 gpt gold and 4,657 gpt silver across 35 cm - 191.5 gpt gold and 14,859 gpt silver across 15 cm Weighted average results for nine (9) samples taken from the structure are: - 44.4 gpt gold and 3,570 gpt silver across an average sample width of 36 cm These samples indicate that economic grade mineralization is present along the main structure at the Las Coloradas minesite for at least 3 1/2 km.
The main structure remains open at both ends (and to depth) and subparallel to oblique structures, as well as significant structural intersections have yet to be tested using modern methods.
The mill has been operating smoothly on a "test run" basis for the past three weeks and should be ready for full production after the rain season ends. Current weather conditions prevent shipment of fuel and other essential supplies required to sustain full production of 100 tpd, but has not affected the mining of high grade ore from the Piedra Bola workings.
Viscount and Guardian Enterprises Ltd. jointly own 57.3% of the Las Coloradas concession and have an option to acquire an additional 25 1/2%. The two companies also own a 50% interest in an additional eighteen (18) properties covering approximately 150,000 acres in this highly mineralized and geologically favourable area of Durango, Mexico. Exploration of this valuable land package will begin sometime after September 15, as dictated by weather and availability of technical personnel. |
