It's not bias, it's reality. Rush Limbaugh is known by just about everyone in America. A story regarding a media figure like him, especially one who calls for harsh treatment for drug users, deserves major attention. Don't you agree? How is Rush avoiding prosecution if he broke our prescription drug laws? Would some Joe Schmoo living in Florida be treated the same way? It seems like the prosecuter in South Florida is using his discretion to give Rush a break. Such is life, some people, especially wealthy and politically connected people, gets breaks from our legal system.

I'm fine with prosecuting Air America if they've broken our laws, just as Rush should be prosecuted. I'm trying to be fair, about it. Didn't I say it reeks of unethical behavior. But, I want to let the prosecuter's office in NY decide if it is worthy of prosecution. Is this all smoke? Perhaps it's unethical what they did, but not technically illegal. You do conceed that that might be the case here. Unless you endorse a withhunt.

Regarding media coverage... It comes down to, which story really matters to the general public. How many people have heard of Air America? How about Rush Limbaugh? Well, there you go, Rush is a much more well known figure, thus he gets the media attention when it appears that he may have broken the law. Perhaps Rush was also swept up in the OxyContin fever that swept over America in recent years. If it had been another painkiller like Percocet, perhaps the media would have given the story less attention.
