Oh, a Bushie defending the gas gougers, huh? OK, Mister Enron and Exxon can do no wrong. Let's start with the proven collusion to rob the public of some 100 billion starting the week Bush-Cheney were nominated in 2000 ending the day after Jeffords switched parties to give Dems subpoena powers. That gouging marathon has been proven in court and billions repaid (ten cents on the dollar of what was stolen).

As it turned out there was no energy shortage, there was a energy glut which suddenly appeared as soon as Dems could investigate. The Enron trader tapes clearly prove the fix was in, total manipulation, with Bush pal Enron in the lead, Bush family counsel James Baker's Reliant involved, and Cheney's big pollutor power plant pals bringing up the rear. Furthermore, Ed Gillespie, whom Bush would later promote to head the RNC, was in charge of the PR campaign to blame it on democrats. Gilespie used Enron's money to attack democreats. Which was akin to a cover-up and pro Bush poltical attack all in one. Proof Enron and the Bush GOP were working together.

Onto the next stage, as Prince Bandar said with Bob Woodward listening, he would gladly bring down the price of oil before the 2004 elecvtion if Bush wanted. Proof they can do it, have done it before, will do it again. All you need are the Saudi Royals and the Texas oil companies working with you and you can manipulate any way you like. Since CLinton was president, oil prices have tripled.
