"Yep, sadly they don't come with instruction manuals." I have often oked that if they did, the manuals would be for the wrong child anyway. "Sadder yet they are about 18 when you really get the program figured out which makes you a great grandparent:)" Mine are eight, so I have ways to go before getting to that point. My wife tells me I'm mean but I sometimes take great joy in telling my 2 daughters when they are here crying and begging for answers that I can't understand why they would be asking me anything since I'm the meanest, dumbest, asshole of a parent they or their friends have ever seen. LOL, paybacks are a bitch:) My wife tells me lots of things about myself that are non-complimentary. All are taken with a grain of salt. I am sure your daughters love you and see through the facade to the tender you that nurtured and taught them so much.
