VirTra Systems Awarded Law Enforcement Simulator Contract
8/18/2005 8:22:28 AM

ARLINGTON, Texas, Aug 18, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- VirTra Systems, Inc. (VTSI) today announced the sale of an IVR HD-300(TM) situational awareness and use-of-force training simulator to the Charleston, South Carolina, Police Department.

The IVR HD-300 simulator sale includes high-definition training scenarios and weapon training-conversion recoil kits for service pistols, AR-15 rifles, and shotguns. The installation will also include pepper-spray canisters for less-lethal training, and two patent-pending Threat-Fire(TM) belts.

The IVR HD-300 will train Charleston's police officers and special weapons and tactics team, and is scheduled for delivery upon completion of its new training quarters.

"We are pleased our simulators continue to draw favor within the law enforcement community," stated Michael Kitchen, VirTra Systems' executive vice-president of training and simulation. "The IVR(TM) HD's reputation for providing the most realistic, real-world, training confrontations continues to spread, not only through trade publications, but, most importantly, through word-of-mouth. Sales momentum is increasing as we prepare to attend the domestic law enforcement community's largest trade show in September."
