Let's see is English your first or second language? I stated specifically that people would not likely invest to "get shorty." Foolish way to invest. If the fundamentals and TA are there, then short interest can help. (Of course, there are a few nice exceptions like BCIT which is more a get alleged counterfeiter & MM's and which gave me an 8 bagger.)

I had opined and agreed with you in that Byrne could be criticized by shareholders for putting his crusade ahead of shareholder value. I suggested that he might justify it by saying that the share price would increase if he were right. That's not "buy to get shorty."

Which is precisely what I meant when I mentioned the "getting shorty" motivation for buying OSTK.

That's assuming there is some knowledge in the poster.

Having that knowledge and expressing it inevitably leads to being called a "hedgie defender".
