The soldiers and civilians that have died in Iraq and Afghanistan have died for the right of all people to make democratic choices......to be freed from the horrors of tyrants and despots.

I think the people of the ME have the ability to understand that all people deserve to participate in free societies and to be protected by the laws of human rights as laid down by civilized nations. I think that has been the main goal or mission of this war, and that unlike Ms. Sheehan and her followers, her son Casey understood that concept.

I honestly don't think that people against this war give that idea much thought. Just as the people against the VN war didn't give any thought to the horrible consequences of our eventual withdrawl.

I guess what separates one group from another is that very simple concept. Until we are all treated equally with regards to human rights there will be people like me arguing with people like you.

I hope Cindy Sheehan eventually finds peace, but in the mean time she makes a mockery of her son's sacrifice and appears selfish and narrow to the people who understand that it's not all about her. Imo it is about ALL people benefiting from the laws of human rights and the freedom to exercise those rights.

Interestingly, Cindy Sheehan hasn't broached that subject.
