Who's mfg the drives? Well that's a tough one j/k... We've got cd/dvd roms from LG, Lite-On, Mitsumi, Teac, and probably a few others. The current H/Ds were getting are Western Dig, but there's plenty of Maxtors mixed in, oh and IBMs, Fujitsu, Seagates... I guess that's part of GW's problem, however due to our state contract, going with GW is much better than dealing with Dell. All the IT folk I know here praise the GW support and despise Dell's. I'll have to ask around and see who is returning more parts, the GW departments or the Dells. I guess in the long run their both using the same components... Personally I'd never buy either, I just hit up Newegg or somewhere and put my own together.
