I always liked going to soccer practice in the family suv. It had nothing to do with anyone's mom trying to make a status symbol, they were just trying to make sure that us kids had something constructive to do with our time. If anything, it was a huge sacrifice of their time. As a kid, it was better than sitting around the house after school with nothing to do like the stoners. They used their drug induced indifference to become ultra cynical liberals. Hope that wasn't the case for you. For goodness sakes, you need a reality check.
