I'll pick the underdog, Castillejo, over the returning Francisco Vargas tonight.

Vargas is coming off of a long layoff with back problems, and his two most recent fights ended in severe beatings; I'm expecting a lot of rust to be evident. Meanwhile the skilled, quiet Spaniard is at the top of his game - as mediocre as his game is - and couldn't be hurt by the faster, more powerful Delahoya in their fight three-or-so years ago.

Weighing the two, I think that Castillejo...a fighter exemplifying the classic European style...has enough to at least outpoint Vargas with methodical jabbing.

Merely a speculative epiphany as the two begin their ring walk. We'll see.
